Mark Schwarzer, Fulham
He only costs 4.1m, but after his stellar display against Liverpool, his value is sure to rise. A great choice of player to have as a back-up goalkeeper.

Gretar Rafn Steinsson, Bolton
Another bargain basement player, while he only costs £4.7m, you would do well to have him as a substitute. Not only did he score a goal, but he also assisted in one last week.

Stephen Ireland, Manchester City
Ireland by name, and indeed Irish by nature, Manchester City’s contender for player of the year keeps freely scoring every time he dons a pair of “football boots”. At £6.5m, you’d be crazy not to have him in your side.
