This week’s picks are:

Louis Saha, Everton
With two goals and an assist under his belt, the ex-Manchester United player has really made his mark on an Everton team challenging the top six of the Premiership. He’s priced at 7.3m, making him well worth the money if you ask us.

Samir Nasri, Arsenal
One of Wenger’s young prodigies, his two goals against Manchester United at the weekend helped fire his Arsenal team back to winning ways. At 7.5m though, may be a risk as he is not played all the time.

Robbie Keane, Liverpool
He took his time after arriving as one of the biggest names in the summer “football transfers”, but Robbie Keane finally broke his Liverpool duck last on Saturday by scoring a brace of goals. The first of many? At 8.5m you’d hope so!

Skiing is a great way to keep fit, but for the vast majority of us, we can only experience life on the piste once or twice a year. When it comes to training equipment they are head and shoulders above the rest.

Mark Schwarzer, Fulham
He only costs 4.1m, but after his stellar display against Liverpool, his value is sure to rise. A great choice of player to have as a back-up goalkeeper.

Gretar Rafn Steinsson, Bolton
Another bargain basement player, while he only costs £4.7m, you would do well to have him as a substitute. Not only did he score a goal, but he also assisted in one last week.

Stephen Ireland, Manchester City
Ireland by name, and indeed Irish by nature, Manchester City’s contender for player of the year keeps freely scoring every time he dons a pair of “football boots”. At £6.5m, you’d be crazy not to have him in your side.
